YUPIA
Yupia is a place for both relaxing and touring situated at close distance to Itanagar, the stunning capital of Arunachal Pradesh. The region with outstanding green ambience is mostly covered by rocky and hilly terrain. Fab your day out with kids to get full view of the entire wildlife in their natural habitat at the Itanagar wildlife sanctuary. The forest with mixed vegetation is the home to tribal communities like Mikirs and Nishis who live in harmony with animals like elephants, wild boar, sambar, flying squirrels and flying folk include cuckoos, parrots, hornbill, pelican, kingfisher etc.
Buddhist temple witnesses huge influx of devotees whole through the year. Jawaharlal Nehru State museum is the treasure house of the local culture that educates the visitors about their art, handicrafts, ancient coins and excavations, clothing and much more. HOW TO REACH
There are no direct trains to Yupia. Travelling by bus is the best option. Tezpur has the nearest airport.
