VAPI

 Vapi is the largest city situated in the Valsad district of Gujarat. Located at the mouth of the Damanganga River, it is famed as one of the busiest industrial towns in the state. Vapi is spectacularly flanked by the Union territories of Daman and Dadra and Nagar Haveli on the either sides. Vapi is the only link which connects to Daman.

 

 Inspite of being famed as the Asia’s largest place for housing large chain of small scale industries it is equally ill famed as one of the most polluted cities due to the harmful wastes and effluents thrown out from the chemical factories. 

 

 Nevertheless this little town offers red carpet welcome to the visitors with its heavenly scenery, humid climate and breath taking ambience. The gorgeous spread of serene beach is the main attraction. Joggers park with rich spread of greenery is a visitor’s paradise. 

 Daman an important town which witnessed the Portuguese settlement prior Independence lies at close proximities to Vapi. Devika Beach of Daman attracts the visitors with its clean and inviting waters.  Moti Daman Fort, Light House and Gandhi Park are also the prime lures. Silvasa a tiny place located close to Vapi is popular for its eye-catching spread of colorful flora, pretty resorts and rejuvenating spas. Spas with their wonderful relaxing treatments, pamper your mind and body in a tranquil and luxurious ambience. Mini Zoo and Bal Udhyan is best suited places for kids who can move around with joy and play happily. 

Daman Beaches: Previously known to be a Portuguese colony till 1961 and a Union Territory in the independent India, Daman, contains a lot of beautiful beaches. One of them is the Devika Beach, which all the tourists should travel to. Other attractions here include the Moti Daman Fort, the Light House and the Gandhi Park.

Silvasa: It is a popular tourist attraction near Vapi. The beaches in Silvasa, with their magnificent coastlines, are worth paying a visit to. The landscape is dotted with plush forests splashed with greens, huge coastline and a colorful mixture of animals and plants and has peacefulness to it. Places to visit here are Bal Udyan, which is a park containing a small zoo for the children and a Tribal Museum.

G.I.D.C Garden Park: It is the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation Garden. It is a park full of greeneries and huge open space, where many children come in the evening and people come for jogging.

By road: The National Highway 4 passes through the town of Vapi. All the major cities are connected to Vapi through it.

By rail: The railway station of Vapi comes under the Western Railway zones and most of the trains which pass through this station has a halt here.
