Anamalai Wildlife Sanctuary The Sanctuary is also known as Indira Gandhi National Park , situated at a distance of 90 km from Coimbatore .The Sanctuary is a natural habitat of wild animals such as panthers, elephants, , wild dogs, porcupines, flying squirrels, jackals, pangolins ,deer, gaur, civets, tigers, sloth bears, wild bears. And is home for birds like the red tree pie, rocket-tailed drongo, black headed oriole, whiskered bulbul, spotted dove, and pigeon.
Subramania Swamy Thirukoil Subramania Swamy Thirukoil is a temple in Pollachi, devoted to Lord Subramanya, Also called Subramanyar Kovil, which was built in 700 years ago and named as 'Thiruvahatheswaramudayar Temple’ by the Konga Cholas. This temple is well recognized for its architecture.
Maasaniamman Thirukoil Maasaniamman temple is located at a distance of 24 km from Pollachi. According to mythology, the temple was built in memory of a girl, who ate a mango from a tree which was extremely dear to King Nanan. The king sentenced the girl to death for daring to eat the mango of this tree. Local people made a female statue using sand from the girl’s grave and worshipped it as ‘Masani’. Tuesdays and Fridays are considered to be very favourable to Maasaniamman.
