Nagarjunakonda
Nagarjunakonda, a secluded island is beautifully situated across the river Krishna at a distance of 160 km from hyderabad, in the midst of Nagarjuna Sagar Lake in Nalgonda district of Andra Pradesh. Sri Venkata Ramaya, an Indian teacher is the founder of this island. It is one of the important historical evidence of Buddhist and Brahmanical teachings. Indian archeology department made 26 sq km of excavation and revealed more than 130 cities, marvelous cultural and civilization sequences right fro early stone age to medieval age. Around 170 decades ago, this island was flourished in spiritual and religious aspects. The name is coined from the Buddhist monk Nagarjuna, who lived in 2nd century AD.

Nagarjunakonda Island Museum
This museum is located in the midst of largest man made lake Nagarjunasagar. A fantastic museum of historical significance, built in a shape of Buddhist vihara. One can enjoy the best collections of Buddhist art and culture. The prominent feature of this museum is, it exhibit a small tooth and ear-ring of Buddha. Sacred Stupa is another center of attraction and considered great relics of Buddha. A gigantic monolithic Buddha statue which is partially ruined is the chief attraction among tourist.
Ethipothala Waterfalls
Breath taking radiant Ethipothala waterfalls is arising tourist attraction on Andra pradesh. The mountain streams from a height of 22 m, cascade down to Chandravanka hills and make this sizzling 70 feet waterfalls, located 11 km from Nagarjunasagar Lake. Beautiful lagoon is formed by the stream of water. It has a thrilling crocodile breeding place. A great place to refresh and rejuvenate. Nagarjunasagar Dam
This dam is built across majestic river krishna and resulted in one of the largest man made lake Nagarjunasagar. The dam is measuring 124 m in height and 1 km long and counted one of the world's largest masonry dam. It can store 11,472 million cubic meters of water, One of the earliest hydro-electric and irrigation project in India is considered an engineering wonder. The grand and huge site of this dam is irresistibly beautiful.
Srisailam Wildlife reserve
It is the largest Tiger reserve in India, covering an area around 3568 sq km, located in the catchment of Krishna river, renamed as Rajiv Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary. Wonderful wildlife sight seeing, Tigers, Pythons, Sambar, Leopard, chinkara, black-buck are the major attraction, located 70 km from Nagarjunakonda.
