MADH ISLAND

Situated in Mumbai, Madh island is adorned with rich scenic beauty, the stunning little Madh Island is beautifully placed in the roaring Arabian Sea. It is amazing to walk peacefully along the unpolluted beach and enjoy the glimpse of the lingering waves. However swimming is not advised as the water currents are very strong. 

  It is amazing to witness the hi-fi bungalows of the affluents lined up in the isle. Apart from its scenic beauty it is also famous for rave parties. Spectacular cottages are built for the tourists. 

  The stunning Madh beach is historically important. The elegant Madh Fort (Versova fort), located in the Madh Island was built by the Portuguese in the 17th century as a watchtower  is now a famous shooting spot. The ancient St. Bonaventure Church located on the stunning Erangal beach witnesses huge inflow of visitors during Feast day in the Month of January. It is one of the spectacular churches constructed during the Portuguese reign in the 16th century. It will definitely take us back to the ancient times and worth a visit.

 The sensational Gorai, Dana Pani and Manori beaches can be reached easily from Marve beach. The popular amusement park Essel World lies at close proximity with the Madh island where both elders and kids can enjoy their heart out. Ferry services can be availed from the Madh beach.

 Madh Island is a perfect place for the solitude lovers who can stroll on the shore and enjoy the fresh breeze and ease the mind from tension and stress.

Taking private vehicles are advised. But from the nearest railway station of Malad autos and taxis can be hired.
