KHODALA

 Khodala ia s beautiful Hamlet which is located in the Thane district. It fascinates visitors with its flawless ambience, lush greenery and lofty peaks.

 Located at an altitude of 1800 feet, it experiences cool and moderate climate throughout the year. Summers are not very hot. During monsoon it receives good rainfall and winters are cool with temperature around 15 degrees. This unexplored hamlet offers an amazing experience of nerve-tingling adventures like hiking, trekking, mountain biking.

 Many tribal groups can be spotted in the dense forests of Khodala, where Pooja is carried out throughout the night during prominent events and festivals. Many ancient practices are carried out still today and is deprived from modernization. This place showcases the real rural culture.

 Khodala refreshes people by its green canopy, roaring waterfalls and historical places. The majestic Devbandh waterfalls flows down from this hill. The prime close-by spots are Tringalwadi fort, Camel valley, Igatpuri-Khasara ghats.

 There is a modern Neuro- therapy center at Moga. Amala wildlife sanctuary is spread in a area of about 15 acres. The rare and elegant flora and fauna will leave us speechless. Animal Species like wild boar, antelopes, monkeys, hyena, bison, jackal can be seen. Winged folck like robins, magpies orioles are witnessed.

Amala Wildlife Sanctuary :  Amala wildlife sanctuary is spread in a area of about 15 acres. The rare and elegant flora and fauna will leave us speechless. Animal Species like wild boar, antelopes, monkeys, hyena, bison, jackal can be seen. Winged folck like robins, magpies orioles are witnessed. this is about 2km from Deobandh temple.

Deobandh Temple : This is a Ganesh Temple located at the bottom of a fantabulous valley and engulfed by scenic beauty. The famous Deobandh waterfalls can be seen here.

Suryamal :  It is the highest peak and a great picnic spot. Brilliant view of the forest and lofty peaks is offered by this peak. This is also close-by to the Neuro-Therapy centre.

40km trek across the Sahyadri ranges is organised by the Mountain Wild Range Camp. Waterfall rappling, Camping and mountain biking are also major activities.

By Air: Mumbai airport is the nearest Airport( 150 kms).

By Train : Igatpuri which is about 30kms from Khodala is the nearest station. It has trains to the major cities.

By Road : It has direct buses to Pune and Mumbai.
