My KP Patty village is located 4 KMs from Andipatty Taulk. This village has combination of Vokkaligar and Kuruba communities. Both people celebrate lord Pillaiyar,Kaliamman,Mariamman,Muthalamman,Angala Easwari,Jakkalamman, lord Mahalakshmi, lord Karupasamy and lord Ellamma& Bullama. My village has temples for all these goddess and god. KP patty village has grown a lot in the last 15 years and it is a hub for nearby villages.
My village is a peaceful village which has other community people as well. Main occupation of our people is Agriculture. They produce Cotton, Jasmine,Vegetables, cereals, beetroot, drumstick, flowers, etc...
They are mainly dependent on tank and occasional rainfall for source of water. Literacy rate of this village is 80%. People from this village have been located in many parts of India and also across world (US, Singapore...) people in this village is working as teachers, Bus conductors, Bus drivers, Software engineers, Aeronautical engineers, mechanical engineers, Govt officials. Our village people started their own business like all kinds of Educational Institutes,Computer Centre,Internet Cafe,Mobile Store,Mutton Stall,stores, Coffee shops, Paint Industry, small workshops, etc…
Our village has banks, primary school, higher secondary school and other facilities like ATM and theater(but,now it is not running). We also need hospital and bus stand as village population would be around 2000 people. Many people depends on Van services and Autos and govt buses for transportation. Bus frequency should be increased as per requirement.
Drinking water is another worry, TamilNadu Govt and Theni dist collector should help us to have clean and sufficient water for the village.
Our village has lots of potential to grow if tamilnadu government and Theni dist collector comes up with plans like setting up industries.
Tress in our village has considerably reduced over the years. So Government should take steps to increase tress count in the village which helps to get rains to the village.
