Village Motipur is situated in the Khalilabad District of Uttar Pradesh. The population of this village is around 1200 comprising the castes of Chaudharis (Muslim Rajput -Panwar), Shaikh, Pathan, Gaddi, Ansari, Manihaar, Faqir, Dhuniya, Kumhar, Lodh, Badhai, Kahaar, Bhumihaar and Harijans. But the village is dominated by the Chaudharies who claim their origin from the Panwar Rajputs of Malwa and descendent of Panwar raja Bhoja of Dhar (Malwa). The Panwars migrated from Dhar to the area of Basti and founded a village named Dudhar (second Dhar) and Lateran the village known as Dudhara. From Dudhara the Panwars established many villages and Agya Chata was one of them. Panwars of Motipur were having their base in Agya Chata. It is also very worth knowing that Panwars are also settled many parts of Northern India. It has been also noticed that in Haryana District Mewat, Panwar is a gotra of Meos.
