OverView of Sarapdad

                 Sarapdad is previously known as bhujngipur. Sarapdad 's history is very old and previously there was small hill type area and people were living on it, right now sarapdad is biggest village in Paddhari taluka. population of sarapdad is about 8000 people. It is  25 Km away from Rajkot and it is located on river Dondi, once a time  water melon was very famous of Dondi river. Ther is  Dena Bank and Rajkot district bank branch at sarapdad, Kanya shala and kumar shala as well highschool also there known as Shri Jawahar lal Vidhyalay, ther is library also run by shree seva mandal sarapdad. The major population of Patel, Shephard,Brahmin,Banya,Harijan,koli,Devipujak,potmaker,goldsmith and various cast are staying.Tlephone exchange and mobile tower are faciliting to the people of mandal village.

                  Main occupation of Sarapdad is agriculture and 70 percentage of people are depend on agriculture,some part of sarapdad is facilited with irrigation of Nyar-2 dam,main crops of village arecotton,groundnut, sesme,wheat,garlic,onion etc. politically sarapdad is very strong in Rajkot district and educated village.

                   Very ancient Shiv mandir located on bank of Dondi river, ram mandir  located in between the village known as gam choro, an other Ram mandir is in Laxmiwadi plot, Swaminarayan mandir, Bahucharaji mandir, Sharmaria dada mandir and Ramdevpir mandir are also and in East site of village   very ancient shri Sati Maa  Mandir. There is in east site of  village Shri Khodiyar mandir is aslo and this mandir is made with marble stone only, khodiar mandir is stand on 22 marble pillor and this mandir is unique in construction, you can see only marbles on the mandir.Maa khodiyar is always blessing to the people of Sarapdad.

                   There is one trust  known as Shree Seva Mandal Sarapdad, doing activity of society on charity base, Mr Mohanbhai Ramjibhai lunagariya is president of  Shree seva Mandal sarapdad . And one very old and famous social group known as Shri Bajarang Social Group Sarapdad, this trust is associated with very ancient  Hanumanji mandir of Sarapdad, this trust is also doing many activity like celebration of Hanuman Jayanti, Batuk bhojan(children  meals), medical camp, blood donation camp, janmashtmi mahotsva and  National festival celebration like 15th august and 26th january, this group is helping to the required people of the village.Hasmukh Ghelabhai Patel is founder and pressent president of Shri Bajarang Social Group Sarapdad since last 20 years.
