OverView of Manana

The arae of Manana was earlier under the rule of king yudhistra son of pandav in mahabharat.

It was established by maaman rathee; named after him; he was one of the refugee who came following king yudhistra when He Was Given Charge Of 5 Villages after separation from his cousin duryodhan which Included Panipat, Sonipat (Earlier Called Sonprasth), Delhi(Earlier Called Indraprasth), Kurukshetra (Where Actual War Took Place) And Karnal. As The King Was Asked To Leave Hastinapur Many People Came Along Him; As He Was A Good King; And One Of Them Was Maaman Rathee.

His Descendents Still Live In The Village With Same Surname. He Came From Hastinapur And Was A Jaat Hense This Village Is Also Called A Jaat Village. He Established This Village In year 1175 In 10th Century On Saturday.

Many  people from different  Professions Like Kasyap , Balmike, Jogi, Blacksmith Bragee, And Many Came After Him And Came Together And Formed Village Manana.

Manana was named after a jaat, Maaman Rathee, who was one of the followers of king yudhistra, son of pandu in Mahabharata.

He established MANANA in year 1175 on Saturday .

After yudhistra, the eldest pandav ,was separated from his uncle's kingdom Hastinapur he, along with his 4 bothers,  wife Dropadi and  many other people from the kingdom came to the 5 villages which were given to him after separation. 

Today the 5 villages which were given to him are Delhi (earlier called Indraprasth),Sonipat (earlier called Sonprasth),kurukshetra,Karnal and Panipat.

Tehsil of Manana is Samalkha and District panipat with pincode 132101. Panipat is almost 18 km from Manana. And hence has witnessed the 3bloody war of Panipat., This village has diversity of caste and religion. This village has approximately 6000 people in which approximately 70%are jaats ,20%Obc ,8%are Sc  and 2%others.

The most common language spoken in this village is haryanvi and hindi.

Festivals like teej, holi ,Diwali and id are celebrated in Manana.

Majority of people here do farming and 2 rivers flow nearby the village which helps the farmers for irrigation in their fields. After farming ,defence is the job chosen by many people there. This village also has approximately 30% problem unemployment .Many people in the village keep cattles for leaving and there milk is sold in the Neslae company in samalkha which is 2 km away and this company uses this milk for making milk products like chocolates ,milk shakes and etc.

Manana has 3 ponds for cattles bathing and other farming purposes. Majority of the people in this village worship lord shiva and Lord Krishna. Manana has 4 temples , 2 playgrounds, 2 separate government schools for boys and girls and approximately 3 private schools.It also has a government B.ed college and one privat  ITI .

Manana has it's own powerhouse for power supply near railway station. The village also hosts and sponsors many sports teams like kabaddi , kho kho and cricket. This village has a railway station at  a distance of 2km , market by walking distance, 3 hospitals at a distance of 2.5 km,2 senior secondary government schools , 2 rivers flow  near the farms at a distance of 3km to West and many other basic facilities.
