Agwanpur village is situated in Parikshitgarh Block of Meerut District, Uttar Preadesh. The village is mainly consist of Muslim Pathan Tribe, divided in different clans. In 1405 the village was founded by the Pathan Tribe 'Sherwanis'. Till now, this village is known for the courageous gesture of pathan community
Agwanpur Village is established since 1405 and there is a chawani named tikola, the commander of that chawhami was malik Mohd Khitaab Khan .He was not But he was From a place called ghati Sherwani in Afghanistan. There is a place called mahipur.he came from there.
And he used to be a commander in the army of Abdaal Gilzai used to be the Ameer .In those times .,Abdal Gilzai fought against Taimur lank .so from Tikolagarh Malik Mohd Khitaab Khan settled in Agwanpur .he had two sons.His two sons now live In Agwanpur who are Called Sherwanis .the people who are Called Sherwani are the children of these two sons In Agwanpur .there is a long history behind it.
