Chanoli is situated downward about one kilometer from Ikookhet. We can reach ikookhet by bus from Ramnagar in approximately about five hours. There is a mansa Mara temple in chanoli village .this village is on the developing mode now because it is joined by the nearby markets by the new built road. I am very grateful to those people whose endeavor finally came in to a fruitful result.I want to make aware to visitors that chanoli has a krishi vigyan Inter college in which there is a playground for students to play, a good library, a computer room having some computers and inspite of all these  a good teaching learning environment. Chanoli is  an  eye catching village full of natural scenery. It is a hilly village where almost all the inhabitants have good and full furnished houses. Chanoli has a nearby post office in village kelani which is just at a walking distance from chanoli. Malla chanoli, silkot, shera, malla bhaneria, gudlekh etc are some nearest villages of chanoli . Ikookhet is the bus stop while going from ramnagar to sarai khet. Ikookhet is the main market for almost all the nearby villages. There are many shops which supply the goods and materials of every kind to the people  of these villages .Chanoli is famous for Ashtmi festival which is celebrated on chaitra shukl paksh Ashatmi tithi every year. It is said that the goddess durga  pleases by performing certain  rituals by  devotees and give them their desired wishes. Some other unique festivals are also celebrated by local community with peace and harmony for example Ghee sankranti, phool sankranti ,Hariyalo fairl etc. There are two health centers in the village which are rendering their services for the welfare of the people. One of them is run by an ANM and the other by a male nurse. A MBBS doctor is also providing his services to the people and his clinic is at Ikookhet. There is a primary school for children up to fifth grade. Garwali, kumauni and Hindi languages are spoken frequently by the residents of the village chanoli. The dwellers of chanoli village are diligent, honest, innocent and friendly to everyone. The peasants of the village cultivate seasonal crops in their fields. The main crops are wheat, rice (Dhan), mandava, mustard seeds etc. The farmers of the village also produce fruits of various kinds in their surroundings. The main fruits are juicy fruits (as mousmbi, orange, Malta, mango), nuts, peach, pears etc .The farmers of the village are mainly the retired personnel of country 's forces .
