Korattampet is a considerably a village of medium in size consisting nearly about 2000 families in comparison to kanji which is connected so close to it. Most people in korattampet have been following christianity way back from 17th century. Hence it can be rightly said that it has a strong Christian faith and Catholic values deeply rooted in them. And it has a record of so many soldiers joined and served the Indian army for many generations in the past and till now many young people are working in army and police force and in educational sector. There is a lake in the village which serves as a water outlet to the farmers whose main cultivation is paddy.
